Dr. Jefferey P. Kee is an electrifying energizing preacher, and a native of Columbus, Ohio. He, along with his wife, First Lady Beverly E. Kee serve at the New Faith Baptist Church of Christ which is in the Urban context near Downtown Columbus. He is affectionately known as the “Pastor for the Master”!
As a multifaceted theocratic, pulpiteer; who graduated in the Doctorate of Ministry program as a preacher for Social Change and being one of few in the nation who graduated, as a Thomas Welborn Fellow, Dr. Kee has propagated the word in many non-traditional church venues. In his appeal to reach the masses, he may be characterized by many as a visionary, missionary and at times extraordinary with vision and mission beyond the veil. Dr. Kee has been a revolutionizing personality standing on many platforms eradicating barriers of Racism, Sexism, Classism and Denominationalism.
As a catalyst within the Social Justice Horizon, Dr. Kee has been a speaker for Racism Summits, MLK Celebrations, Justice Seminars, Training and Clergy Conferences. He has served as Commissioner for Religion at large for the Near East Area Commission, Facilitator/Educator for “Keeping it Real”, i.e. a Faith Based Dialogue on Sexuality for the Black Church Initiative in Washington, D.C., Board of Trustees for the United Christian Center of OSU, Partner with Columbus Community Mental Health. Dr. Kee is featured as Who’s Who in Black Central Ohio and a Who’s Who honored member of The Heritage Registry - 2005-2006. He has served as Chairperson of Afrocentric Personal Development Shop and is on the Board of Directors of D.A.R.T. (Direct Action Research Training), Miami, Florida.
Dr. Kee has been the recipient of many awards and honors: The Safety Award of Excellence; (Safety Police Fire Department), Norman E. Thomas Award; (Democratic Socialist of Franklin County), Outstanding Community Outreach Award; (Police Officers for Equal Rights), Serving the Community Proclamation; Columbus City Attorney, Outstanding Community Outreach Award; WVKO Radio. As a Leader who volunteers his gifts to Community Service, he was honored as a Jerry’s Muscular Dystrophy Grand Club Member for being one of the most significant financial supporters in Franklin County.
